Coursework emphasizes professional resilience, and innovation while blending theory with real-world application. Incorporating a strengths-based
perspective with the latest research provides a venue for students to engage creatively and critically in the learning process. The applied nature of our program is grounded in theory while providing students with hands-on experiences and practical tools that lead to applying what they learned during their customized internship.
An increase in workforce shortages has expanded the responsibilities of human services professionals. Therefore, well-trained bachelor-level graduates are in high demand. Many of our human services majors continue their education by earning masters-level degrees that are necessary to become licensed professional counselors or social workers. Others use their degree to expand their current responsibilities, pursue administrative positions, or new aspects of the field learned during the program.
The broad and applied nature of the program prepares students for endless opportunities to improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. The University of Arizona CAST’s innovative approach ensures students are future-focused and career-ready upon graduation.
