The Intelligence & Information Operations program prepares you with critical skills to gather and analyze intelligence used by our nation’s leaders, defend against and deploy advanced information operations campaigns, and keep our country safe. Our program offers three emphasis areas, Operational Intelligence, Law Enforcement Intelligence, and Information Warfare, and certificates to immediately advance your career. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) designated our Intelligence and Information Operations program as the #1 Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC CAE) in the nation. We host the annual Southern Arizona Intelligence Summit, and last year our keynote speaker was Avril D. Haines, director of national intelligence.

Our intelligence degree uniquely prepares you at the convergence of intelligence, information warfare, and cyber and is helping to prepare a diverse and exceptionally well-educated cohort of students for entry into the intelligence and law enforcement communities. Our highly experienced faculty prepare you for intelligence collection and/or analysis in areas such as signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), measurements & signatures intelligence (MASINT), and open-source intelligence (OSINT). Our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment ensures you graduate with the expertise you can immediately use on the job.

The U.S. Intelligence Community designated the University of Arizona’s Intelligence and Information Operations Program as an Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC CAE). For the University of Arizona, the IC CAE designation demonstrates that its Intelligence and Information Operations program not only meets the most demanding and rigorous intelligence academic requirements, but is one of the nationally designated IC CAE programs that prepares graduates for successful employment in the U.S. Intelligence Community.
