Are you a people person driven by purpose, a desire to serve, and rewards that go far beyond a paycheck? With projected nationwide job growth, the need for helping professionals to contribute has never been greater.

Our nationally ranked human services degree empowers students with real skills and tools to improve the lives of others. Our faculty contributes valuable professional experience with applied teaching methods. This provides a venue for students to understand, respond to, and support the social, psychological, educational, and physical demands of individuals and families.

The University of Arizona College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Human Services program is the only fully online and nationally accredited (CSHSE) bachelor’s degree. Students participate in an individualized internship that provides them with hands-on experience in human services. The small class sizes taught by research-orientated and practitioner-based scholars emphasize student engagement and promotes a community of learning.

Our individually matched advanced internship experiences prepare students for workplace readiness. Opportunity areas are broad and inclusive and often provide a pathway to professional employment in the human services field. These opportunities range from much-needed case management positions in social services, addictions prevention and treatment, trauma to resiliency, lifespan services from child welfare to gerontology, justice-involved, integrated behavioral health, education, and social justice and advocacy.
