Jianmei Li is an academic advisor for the College of Applied Science and Technology. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2017 with a Masters of Arts in East Asian Studies with a focus of contemporary Chinese anthropology. Prior to attending UA, Jianmei taught students from diverse cultural backgrounds in Beijing, China and London, UK. After a decade of teaching, she joined the UA Undergraduate Admissions Team as an admissions evaluator for 6 years. Equipped with knowledge of university admissions and a passion for supporting student success and UA, she moved to her current role as an academic advisor for CAST. In her spare time, she is interested in learning new things about digital huminites, technology, archeology and cultural anthropology. Her dream is travelling around the world and exploring different local cuisines.
