Associate Professor of Practice

Aaron Tesch PhD is an Associate Professor of Practice who teaches Core Bachelor of Applied Science courses including Judgment and Decision Making (Critical Thinking Core), Mathematics for Applied Science (An Applied Statistics Course), Research Methods (Applying the Scientific Method), and Ethics in Public and Private Sectors (A Course that Reviews Ethical Philosophies and asks students to form their own ethical framework that can be applied to their personal and professional life) by teaching engaging and flexible courses with an opportunity for Zoom lectures. Aaron believes that teaching is a shared endeavor where both teacher and student learn and grow together. Aaron has taught and become an expert in a wide variety of psychology/general education courses. He often uses accessible technology as a tool for student learning/research. Currently is using low cost portable EEGs to measure brain waves while people are engaged in real life situations i.e. learning in person vs. online. Aaron was one of the first grant leaders to explore on-line courses and these efforts led to the first UArizona program to graduate Psychology students. When he is not teaching, Aaron can be found playing video games with his three foster kids and son.
