Purpose

The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Student Advisory Board serves as the voice of students to the administration, staff and faculty of the college, sharing constructive feedback and helpful recommendations. CAST seeks to prepare future-focused and career-ready students ready to tackle society’s biggest challenges and impact the future. Members of CAST Student Advisory Board serve as advocates for the unique and diverse population of CAST students, with unparalleled access to the college’s resources and administration. The CAST Student Advisory Board is a small group of students selected through an application and interview process, representing every academic program in CAST and diverse backgrounds, prepared to think critically of the college and seek to improve the student experience and break through barriers, leading to enhanced student success.

Application Process & Board Member Expectations 

The application for the CAST Student Advisory Board opens the early in both the Spring and Fall semester for new members. Student Advisory Board members are considered based on their interest in improving the college and the experience of others. The Student Advisory Board meets virtually at a time agreed upon by the Board.
