Mike is a University of Arizona alumni and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at the University of Arizona and a Master of Education at Northern Arizona University. Mike has been working in higher education for seven years and has spent most of that time serving nontraditional students in an online setting. He has been advising students in the Cyber Operations program with CAST since April 2020. He appreciates being a part of such a critical program for the University and the students attending it. Before academic advising, Mike was an enrollment counselor with Arizona Online for three years. His passion is working in student services helping those he advises overcome obstacles and achieve their educational goals.

As a Navy veteran's son, Mike spent many years of his life living in different parts of the United States. He understands the many challenges that military personnel and their families face in various aspects of life, as he has been through many of those challenges himself. When he is not at work, Mike spends time with his wife and two German Shepherds. He also loves playing soccer, traveling to new destinations, and begrudgingly watching all his favorite Michigan-based sports teams.
