Kristie Bowen, PhD

Prior to my career in higher education, I worked in the finance sector of several Fortune 500 companies in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 20 years. I'm passionate about helping students reach their educational goals and began my post-secondary educational journey at a small community college in Oregon in 2001.

I completed my PhD in Higher Education and Organizational Leadership at Oregon State University in 2015. The focus of my research interests are supporting and enhancing community college transfer student baccalaureate completion; in addition, I have a minor in Conflict Resolution and Mediation. I am also TEFL certified and have previous teaching experience in both online and on-campus instruction. Some of the courses I have taught in the OL program include LDRV 303,305, and 404.
