Emily is an Assistant Professor of Practice who works with undergraduate students to learn and apply mathematical concepts across many disciplines. Emily believes all students can succeed in math. Having worked in scientific research, outdoor education, emergency medicine, and DoD acquisition, Emily knows the real-world value of math, and draws on all her experiences to make math interesting and accessible. Emily has supported hundreds of students to succeed in math, from middle school to undergraduate levels, both in traditional classrooms and online classes. Emily is a certified secondary math teacher in both Colorado and Arizona. Emily holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a M.A. in Math Education from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
