Christina Hornett, MA

Academic Advisor II

After a six-year career in nursing, Christina decided to return to college and pursue her first dream and passion...teaching & literature. After entering the classroom as an adult and finishing a bachelor and then masters degree, she got into her first teaching position at NAU's Honors College teaching literature and advising. Turns out, she gained more joy and felt she made more of a difference in advising. In the last four years, Christina has worked with freshman, Honors, pre-health professions, military/vet, online, and adult students. Returning to college as a non-traditional student herself, Christina enjoys working with this population the most and really loves getting to know students and support their individual paths to success.
